Community Management Intern or Student Assistant, Colombia

About the position

We’re looking for charismatic individuals who are able to cheerlead our ever-growing catalog of online courses for an expanding global audience. Daily duties around community engagement will be most complimented by strong project management and organizational skills. You can’t be shy as you will interact with our platforms’ entire user base and are expected to carry out your duties with authenticity and enthusiasm. Addressing a diverse virtual crowd while managing multi-step outreach should be second nature for you.

We are not looking for a people-pleaser who has to be coached into making recommendations. You should anticipate trends and be ready to pick up the phone and make a call or send an email in order to keep our processes running smoothly. Besides being original and entrepreneurial, you should also have a high emotional intelligence, a good sense of humor, and be familiar with the phrase: “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all elements of DocenteLAB and, where applicable, TeachersLAB daily management functions including exercise review and course completion tasks (e.g. issuing certificates);
  • Identity problems and review related platform data to develop, evaluate, and implement solutions with senior team members;
  • Source and post relevant academic articles and internally-produced content to support audience building, on and across both platforms;
  • Understand and articulate the effects of platform changes to support problem-solving and decision-making by management;
  • Interact with users to encourage active participation in all of the platform’s offerings, including events, campaigns, and course;
  • Continuously self-educate on product offerings and market news to support marketing and business development initiatives; and
  • Analyze, prepare and update job-related documents, correspondence, and metric reporting to assist senior team members with decision-making.

Position and Salary

This posting is for a paid internship or student assistant position at our office in either Lima, Peru, or Bogotá, Colombia.
