Sales and Partnership Consultant

I am Sørine Vesth Rasmussen  and I joined CanopyLAB on March 1st 2018.

I am incredibly happy to be writing this blog post, as it means that I have come closer to achieving a world where knowledge is not monopolised.

As a kid I lived in India, the Philippines and Denmark and went to Danish public schools, an American Embassy School and an Indian private school, so I’ve experienced different kinds of education, learning philosophies, and teaching methods. I have also experienced how one method of teaching is supposed to fit all individuals and how – when it does not work – only the financially privileged can afford extra lessons and tutoring.

Personally, I want to be involved in providing quality education through the use of technology, as it has opened doors for interactive learning, which previously seemed utopian.

And then I love doing things the smart way. Finding solutions that no one thought of and solving complex problems, which require thinking unconventionally and involving different ideas and perspectives. This is why I co-founded and became president of the organization Danish Students Abroad, which has served as the voice of Danish students before, during, and after their studies abroad. The organization is still thriving and has become a respected voice of students in Denmark.

I hold a master’s degree from London School of Economics and a bachelor of science from Kingston University London. Since graduating, I have worked for the U.S. Congress and the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science along with NGO’s and lobbyist organizations in El Salvador and Denmark.

In CanopyLAB, my role is to understand clients’ diverse, specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet those needs.

In CanopyLAB, my role is to understand clients’ diverse, specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet those needs. This could be upgrading the skills and knowledge of their employees, onboarding new employees, strengthening corporate culture, educating trainees, or gaining insights into employee satisfaction and effectiveness.

Please feel free to give me a call or send me an email if you’d like to discuss opportunities for either improving education in general, or giving your company or organization a helping hand by doing something smarter.
